Rotary started in SA in 1923, with the Rotary Club of Adelaide officially receiving its Charter on 4 Feb, 1924.
A celebration lunch was held at the Adelaide Oval, 100 yrs to the date, with 360 guests.
The event was officiated by Her Excellency, the Governor of SA, Francis Adamson AO.
The guest speaker was Professor Verna Sahajwalla, who spoke on innovation in achieving a sustainable future through re-use and recycling of materials.
Alison, Ros and Andrew showed their environmental cred by taking the train to and from the city, even on a 35C day!
The walk across the bridge was invigorating, and thankfully, short.
