The National Railway Museum (NRM) ran its annual Family Fun Fair on the weekend of 20-21 July.
Unfortunately numbers were down with approx 450 each day - impacted by the poor weather forecast, although there was plenty of sunshine.
The Club ran two 3 hr rosters during each day, to supply hot beverages, pies/pasties/sausage rolls and other snacks to hungry clients. Members volunteered their services to serve, make coffees and chat.
The Cafe Car (which used to run between Adelaide and Melbourne) was warm and dry, which made it a relatively pleasant place in which to work!
About $900 was raised, which will go into the Club's Community account to fund various local and international projects.
Our next event will be on Sunday 25 August for the opening of the new Port Dock Railway station - come and join us.
