Received account from Club Runner for next years which will require each member to pay an extra $30 to cover exchange rate – to be discussed at Board meeting

Gourmet Gary’s Garlic Prawns

Blowfly Corner

Serves: 4

Prep Time: 20 mins.

Cook Time: 20 mins/

Ingredients

750 gms	Green prawns shelled and deveined
1 cup	Olive oil
1 cup	Chardonnay
1	Brown onion
8 cloves	Garlic
	Ground black pepper
1 tsp	Salt
400 mls	Thickened cream
6 sprigs	Parsley or 3 spring onion finely chopped

Directions:

1. Peel and finely chop onion and garlic and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a thick based saucepan, add the onion and cook until soft, then add garlic, cooking for a few minutes until you get a big aroma.
3. Add the chardonnay, bringing back to the boil, then add prawns.
4. Cook prawns for a few minutes until they change colour, do not overcook.
5. Add pepper and salt to taste, then stir in cream.
6.Turn into serving bowl and garnish with chopped parsley or spring onion.

NOTE! These go well with dark rye bread and, of course, the rest of the chardonnay.

2023-03 CHATS

Community Help And TogthernesS & RCWL Blanket Revolution

Rose Darling has been involved with CHATS since its formation.

CHATS provides support to people sleeping rough and tough, and those who are socially isolated in Adelaide's western suburbs.

Support is free to those in need and includes clothes, Friday breakfasts, food, and more.

CHATS are 100% volunteer-run South Australian registered charity. Financial donations are tax deductible and always appreciated

Rose was particularly grateful to RCWL for the donations of blankets from Blanket Revolution.

Environment Director Alison reached out to CHATS when she started the Blanket Revolution.

Stage I - delivered over 30 "human" blankets

Stage II - provided over 60 "human" and "pet" blankets, as many clients also have pets.

CHATS loosely stands for

C Clothing, shoes, sleeping bags etc

H Help & Hampers, providing food for soul & stomach

A Action from volunteers and community groups

T Togetherness, providing a venue for those who are lonely, socially isolated, living rough

S Social inclusion, no barriers
