INTERNATIONAL TOAST:
Rotary Club of Karachi Royal in D3271, Pakistan.  The club was chartered in 2021, with 30 members
who meet on Fridays at 7.30pm ( no details of venue).  President: Imran Khan.
 
ROTARY CLUB BUSINESS
SECRETARY: (Lyn)
  • Changeover Dinner 27 June - $50 per head went out on the invite. Discuss at Board meeting tonight if members to pay $55 or if difference comes out of club funds.
TREASURER: (Len)
  • Path of memories sign is faded and approval from Council has been received.
  • Will show sample at Board meeting tonight.
 
 
PRESIDENT: (Jean)
  • To send email out re who is interested in AVEO tour.
  • Lightview – new club in District 9510. Charter on the 4 June from 3.30 – 6.00 @ $30 per head.
INTERNATIONAL REPORT: (Ken - apology)
  • 17 June – DIK stripping of chairs from 9.00 – 12.00.  Meet for lunch at Slug & Lettuce at 12.30
COMMUNITY REPORT: (Ros)
  • Thanks to all who braved the cold last weekend at the carousel.
  • Carousel June 17 and 18 – refer folder.
  • Colleen is no longer contact at Port Adelaide for Meals on Wheels.
  • Rail dog Bob, NRM re-establish Port Adelaide railway station which will impact on Rotary van. 
  • Gary making train with place for kid to put their head as if they are driving the train and have photos taken.

  • July Family Fun Festival and there will be no BBQ which gives Rotary a good start with food.
  • Brian Thomas suggested Rotary take up as a project - Against Domestic Abuse program.
YOUTH:  (Robyn)
  • RYDA Conference flyer on tables. 19 – 20 May
  • Science and Engineering Challenge project – looking for supervisors on 8,9,10,11 August 
FUNDRAISING: (Gary)
  • Bunnings BBQ – 5 June and 3 July
  • Barry and Len to help Gary machine some timber for the Eyre Bee n Bee hotels.
VOCATION & ENVIRONMENT: (Alison)
  • 8 July - Team building day at De Garis’ to paint Eyre Bee n Bee hotels. Bring hammer, small nails and sandpaper. 
  • 15 July Monarto Zoo fence painting – Discuss at Board meeting tonight if we invite Murray Bridge and Mobilong to help.
  • NE Drycleaners have plenty of blankets, Brenda and Neil will collect and we are to organise a sort/roll night pre meeting.

Other Business
  • Jane English was inducted by Pres. Jean with Sponsor Ros presenting her with the Rotary badge. 
  • Ros & Andrew went to Loxton and stayed with Craig, District Governor Elect and discussed what Rotary looks like going forward.
