Ciao Ros!
This weekend I was lucky enough to be taken to my host family’s holiday house in Sam Remo Liguria.

We took the train on Friday night, and arrived at around 9, having what else than pasta for dinner of course.

The next morning I looked around the shops, and then we went to Ventimiglia and the botanic gardens there which were stunning.

After, I had my first swim in the Mediterranean Sea at a free beach very close to Ventimiglia. It was a bit chilly still being spring!

The next day I spent some time down the beach, except to get to a sand beach in San Remo you have to pay, luckily for me my host family knows the owner of one of the stunning beaches. I stayed there for a bit, laying in the sun without getting fried because the UV is different over here. Then I went for another swim, spoiler alert it was still very cold!
We went to a friend’s house for lunch and had a traditional seafood pasta with mussels and prawn, as well as other Italian staples like bread and fruit salad for desert. Then unfortunately we had to take the train home, but the ride is very pretty!
Some other photos to give you an idea of Italy!
Hope all is well at the Club.
Abby
